Founded in 2024 by visionary entrepreneur Gert Schoonenberg, Tomosono is at the forefront of revolutionizing medical diagnostics and therapy through advanced Ultrasound Tomography technology. As a team, our core purpose is to develop optimal solutions for care providers and patients founded in revolutionary innovation with deep knowledge, creativity, and collaboration. We want to support doctors in giving patients meaningful answers as soon as possible, preferably at their very first visit. Not only to provide peace of mind for patients, but also to help doctors see and treat more patients each day, reducing waiting times for appointments and making care more affordable and accessible.
CEO & Founder
Gert loves to build, and bring to market, meaningful technology and build high performing teams. He brings two decades of experience in medical devices from his time at Philips Healthcare.
Software and Algorithms
Floor is our software and algorithm expert. He brings deep expertise in software development and algorithm design, and will play a key role in implementing GPU-accelerated algorithms.
Mechanical Engineer
Ruben is our 3D design and 3D printing hero. He enables quick iterations with rapid prototyping and brings a wealth of experience from international robotics competitions!
Software Engineer
Remmo's interests in software, hardware and applied physics is exactly what we need to develop our ultrasound solutions. He brings experience in developing robotics software and multidisciplinary teamwork from the FIRST Tech Challenge.
Product owner & Usability lead
Floris bridges the gap between patients, care teams, and technology—always prioritizing people over tech. Through design research, he involves those directly affected by medical challenges to co-create meaningful, implementable solutions. His curiosity and hands-on approach drive impactful change in care experiences.
Advisor
Franklin has been an advisor to Tomosono since the very start. He had a lifetime career in Philips Healthcare and is now consulting and coaching medtech startups.
We have multiple closed and ongoing projects with our collaborators in the Eindhoven eco-system. We are very grateful for the regional, national and European grants we received.
Development of an early proof-of-concept ultrasound tomography system together with TNO/Holst Centre.
Dit project is mede mogelijk gemaakt door een bijdrage uit het Stimuleringsfonds Metropoolregio Eindhoven.
DUST develops a novel, real-time ultrasound tomography system for knee imaging, enabling dynamic, high-resolution diagnostics directly in the physician’s office and improving care for musculoskeletal disorders.
Tomosono and TNO Holst Centre team up levering the skills and expertise in the brainport eco-system.
This collaboration project is co-funded by a PPP subsidy awarded by Health~Holland, in collaboration with the PPS Programme Trinitas DX, to stimulate public-private partnerships. It builds on the successful completion of an initial joint project with TNO Holst Centre initiated by Tomosono BV, supported with a contribution from Stimuleringsfonds Metropoolregio Eindhoven.
Development of innovative medical imaging technology for dynamic use cases based on ultrasound tomography.
Tomosono is proud to collaborate with the Biomedical Engineering department of Eindhoven University of Technology and grateful for the support from Stimulus Programmamanagement and Innovencio.
This project has been co-financed by the European Union.
Feasibility study for our proposition.
Dit project is mede mogelijk gemaakt door financiële steun van de Provincie Noord-Brabant.
